Why should I buy a leaf spring trailer?

General

Most of the brakeless trailers in the Farmi Pro range are manufactured at our Rajamäki plant in Finland.

All of our models are hot-galvanized and have compact, maintenance-free hubs and a 12 mm bottom plate instead of a 9 mm plate. We also issue an unlimited 2-year warranty for all of our products.

General information on carrying capacity:
The highest permitted total weight of a brakeless trailer is 750 kg (trailer weight + load). If the trailer is very light and weak, its empty weight is of course small, because all the parts are thin and compromised. This means that the trailer’s carrying capacity is considered to be “high”, which it is of course not. A trailer seldom has to carry heavy loads, because furniture, for instance, does not put a hard strain on the trailer even if it was loaded to the full.

This means that you should not a let “HIGH” carrying capacity make you think that the trailer is a good one. The situation is often quite the opposite. To put it simply: the higher the carrying capacity reported for a brakeless steel trailer, the thinner its materials are and the weaker it is! This is one of the paradoxes in Finnish legislation.

The following standard fittings have been added to all of our trailers since 1/2005: jockey wheel, canopy gas springs, and a combined back side and ramp for 3-metre and longer models. The front and back sides of all models can be opened and removed without taking off the canopy.

For households with small transport needs. The “weakest” part in this sturdy, low-priced trailer is its rubber torsion suspension, which makes the trailer appear bumpy on poor roads. FARMI PRO 27L and 27T | 125x270x34 |

A trailer with tipper, parabolic leaf springs, jockey wheel and maintenance-free KNOTT Eco bearings. Platform size 125x265x34 cm, high sides, and the same sturdy technology as in the 75L except that the 27L and 27T are 15 cm longer. A good general purpose trailer for transporting plasterboards, for example. Comes with a tipper and jockey wheel.

The same model as the previous one but wider (150 cm). Ideal for use with vans. Even over 6-metre items can be transported legally on this one. 100 cm of the item can rest on the long 150 cm towbar and the rear overhang can be as much as 200 cm with a warning sign. A very sturdy steel frame so the sides keep their form and do not collapse when straps are tightened. Comes with a triangular mudguard support (prevents the mudguard from vibrating during the ride), which also acts as a step. 4-leaf springs.
