Q:

The E approval has been required of towbars as of the beginning of 2007? What are its effects?

A: It only affects type approval and the technical inspection conducted by manufacturers. All Farmi-made towbars have already passed the tests, and have EU approval.

Q:

Is VAT included in the prices?
A: Yes, all prices include VAT.

Q:

How long is your warranty?

A: Unlimited 2-year warranty.

Q:

Why do you issue a warranty that is one year longer than that of other manufacturers ?
A:

We feel that a deal of this value simply must withstand use for a minimum of 2 years, including all wearing parts.

Q:

How long are your delivery times?

A: Most of our models are available at store and registered – some of them even with the canopy in place.

Q:

How many trailers do you manufacture per year?
A: We manufactured some 2200 trailers in 2006.

Q:

Where do you operate?
A:

We have two manufacturing facilities at Nurmijärvi village in Finland. For driving instructions, see http://www.farmi.com/driving_instructions.htm

Q:

Where can I find your prices?
A: http://www.farmi.com/prices.htm

Q:

Do you have resellers?
A: http://www.farmi.com/retailers.htm

Q:

Where can I find a diagram about electrical connections?
A: http://www.farmi.com/electricity.htm

Q:

What are the benefits of your trailers?
A: See the list of customers who have examined our trailers thoroughly and then decided to by one >> referenssit

Q:

Are your trailers type-approved?
A: Almost all the models are. Special trailers are inspected separately according to customer requirements. Also in Europe before EU type 2008

Q:

Why do you not advertise a non-corrosion warranty?
A: It is not necessary, because everybody knows that galvanized steel will endure decades of use without corroding. If ask, we can give 30 years.

Q:

What makes your trailers superior to others?
A: Several details. We are happy to compare our trailers with any other make. There really are differences.

Q:

Are there any other high-quality trailers in Finland?
A: Yes! Majava, for instance, makes reliable trailers, though with a different technology, and the former Lewo, too, was made by professionals.

Q:

Are there really poor trailers on sale in Finland-Europe?
A: Yes, but we only want to comment on those that really pose a danger in traffic. There used to be one dangerous model, but I think an improved version has already been introduced.

Q:

Why do you only use Swedish Jaxal canopies?
A: We had to warranty-replace too many canopies of another make.

Q:

Why do you use maintenance-free German KNOTT hubs?
A: Because people do not maintain their trailers. Our compact hubs resemble car hubs in that they do not need any maintenance.

Q:

What kind of maintenance do your trailers need, then?
A: The most common brakeless models do not require any maintenance. All that the user should do is to tighten the wheels once and keep the drawhead greased.

Q:

Why do you use German Jokon lights?
A: They have proper plastic support for the lamp (instead of a mere piece of sheet metal). The part under the lamp is made of stainless steel, the coupler is splashwater tight, and the conductor is continuous without any joints. When we use Jokon lights, we do not have to repair lights under warranty.

Q:

In most of your models the front light looks fragile. Why?
A: So it does, but in fact it is more durable than other light types. It is placed at the end of a flexible rubber element so it can be bent and twisted without braking it. Besides, it does not cause any injury or damage if it hits the customer’s knee or the vehicle. It also endures rough handling at below zero temperatures. The manufacturer is again the German JOKON.

Q:

Why do most of your models today have parabolic (1-leaf) springs?
A: Reason 1. Parabolic springs are only made by reliable spring factories.
Reason 2. A parabolic spring is more flexible than a 3-leaf spring with a light load and with the trailer empty. This means that a parabolic springs gives a more pleasant ride and can take more load than a 3-leaf spring.

Q:

You advertise watertight bearings on your boat transport trailers. Do such bearings really exist?
A: The general belief until 2004 was that there are no such bearings. However, a German boat magazine performed a test in which the bearings were kept in water for 6 weeks. The result was that the bearing really is watertight. Thus the bearing now has the text WATER PROOF stamped on it.

Q:

Your boat transport trailers do not have removable lights. Why?
A: They are not needed, because all of our models have a tipper that according to our customers picks up the boat even from the lawn if need be (e.g. model V75). Besides, the lights are located well above the axle so the trailer can be reversed into water without the lights getting wet.

Q:

What is the easiest way to lock up the trailer?
A: By mounting a padlock onto the drawhead, see picture: simple..
